Casebook wins United Nations Award
Casebook, the interactive crime drama whose film content is produced by 38 Pictures, has won a prestigious international award. The World Summit Awards receive over 10,000 entries a year, from more than 150 countries. Administered by the United Nations, the Awards recognise the best in 'global e-Content and Creativity'. Casebook was one of five winners in the 'e-entertainment and games' category. The awards ceremony is in Monterrey, in September.
Music Video
Low Speed Bus Chase, a New Zealand band soon to move to Melbourne, released their first album 'The Thrill of the Chase' on the 13th of June. As part of their album release, 38 Pictures produced the music video for their first single 'Will Nostalgia Turn Blue'. Shot on location on the Taieri river, it's a gorgeous Autumnal video - check it out here and become a fan on Facebook.

38 Pictures recently completed principal shooting on Casebook - Episode 0, a free demo episode available from www.casebookthegame.com. 38 Pictures has also completed shooting Casebook - Episode IV. An urban story following a beautiful girl seeking the truth of her father's death... It was a great shoot, and involved crashing a Triumph 2500 off a 14 meter high cliff at Blackhead, some impressive explosives and the return of a few old faces - both on screen and off. We think you'll be impressed with the results.

Casebook Episode III
Principal shooting on Casebook Episode III has been completed by 38 Pictures. The six-day shoot was a complete success, taking place in 38 Pictures' Dunedin studios, and on location through Dunedin, Waikouaiti and Naseby.
Live on Maori Television
Were you watching the Waitangi Day special? If so, you would have seen our team broadcasting live out of Bluff. As the South Island Waitangi Day crew for Maori Television, we travelled from Dunedin to the southern tip of Aotearoa, where we reported on the wonderful Waitangi Day celebrations at Te Rau Aroha marae.
